MAME: I plug my gun to play and unplug it when done. (try it, enter Input (This Game) and try to map all gun buttons, it won’t work). Sometimes it is start, sometimes A sometimes B button, sometimes select button. Randomly, one of the buttons is unmappable. The biggest issue I face is button mapping. I know there’s a way to fine tune that by entering those magic values, but a guide on how to do that will be appreciated.Ģ. Precision: no matter how hard I try callibrating, the gun is imprecise away from center of the screen and is especially bad near corners. There are couple of problems I encounter with both this driver and official driver for XP:ġ. That’s not such a big issue, because there are plenty of other drivers that need it anyway. I didn't notice any differences between how it works on 32bit XP and Win7 64bit. Unfortunately the build quality isn’t the best: everything is made of cheap plastic and the buttons do not give a good feedback when pressed, including the trigger. Setting it up was also a pain due to the defective IR led towers (i’ve used an old USB camera without the IR filter to check they were all turned on). Still, if you manage to set everything up you have a cheap option to play old console lightgun games like Time Crisis 2 and 3 on the PS2. The gun is wireless, has built-in recoil, and a laser site. My EMS Top Gun 3 Review Well this gun ticks a lot of boxes i wanted to play some classic PS2 light gun games on my PS2 or PS3 (backwards compatible model) Item came well packaged and my initial thoughts are that it looks a lot like a real hand gun then a toy light gun which may or may not be a good thing to some people. I’ve also found the USB controller is compatible with the EMS TopGun II. In fact it worked with this Linux driver with 0 code changes. Unofficial windows drivers are also available, but i didn’t try messing them.ītw if you are looking for a PC-only lightgun, a Wiimote + Wii Zapper shell + Mayflash DolphinBar is probably your best choice due the more responsive IR sensor (still not lag-free, but better than this Xtreme gun).
